Professional and Personal Growth

The de Moya Foundation provides professional and personal growth through our extended services, which make us unique in our supported employment approach, producing durable outcomes and higher retention rate. Going beyond the traditional 90-150 days mandated by federal guidelines we can ensure long-term employment.

DMF Power-Up for Jobs

Monthly Peer Group Meetings that educate and help program participants become better individuals at work. Topics  include hygiene and grooming, workplace etiquette, team building activities, money management, health and wellness, and developing your independence.

Participants must participate in the monthly Power-Up for Jobs peer support group meeting. Classes are regularly scheduled for the second Thursday of the month, from 6pm – 7:30pm.

DMF Social Mingles

Network and socialize with fellow DMF peers during social mingles in the community. These monthly mingles give program participants an opportunity to connect every month and practice their social skills in a supportive environment.

DMF Stay Connected

DMF Stay Connected was created to keep young adults with unique abilities engaged and interacting so that they could continue to grow as individuals. With access to virtual classes, assignments and beneficial topics that empower and inspire to thrive at work.

In-Person Social Skills Sessions

Teaming up with Crystal Minds New Beginnings, has allowed us to enrich lives with the power of connection. Our in-person social skills sessions are designed to enhance communication, tolerance, self advocacy and important social skills to get and maintain a job. Every new beginning deserves a strong foundation!

Special Olympics

The de Moya Foundation participates in Bowling, Bocce, Softball and more.

Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. By joining a DMF Special Olympics team young adults will develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and friendship with other Special Olympic athletes, unified partners and the community!

The de Moya Foundation provides the necessary professional support for continued success to all young adults with unique abilities in the program! Wide variety of extended services are offered within Employment Program, please speak to your Employment Specialist to maximize our services. 


DMF Employment Opportunities is a Certified Business Technical Assistance and Consultation vendor of supported self-employment and a proud employment service provider of the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation!

The Foundation will collaborate with educational institutions, not for profit organizations, families, and the business community to provide the educational, employment, and financial support for young adults with special needs to obtain and maintain jobs.
